China Bowl

If you are staying in North Campus (Delhi University) and you want to have good Chinese food, I could suggested you a lot of places but the newest of the lot and also the best would undoubtedly be China Bowl opposite NDPL office in  Vijaynagar. It is open form 11 in the noon till around midnight depending on the crowd. The food however, is awesome. The services are world class, the price is pocket friendly and the experience is a cloud nine experience.
Yesterday two of our Platterians were plattered by the amazing staffs at China Bowl. Divya and Shilpa were there to have their Friday lunch. Shilpa says, “What I like about China Bowl is that their staffs and services have a standard matched by none other in the whole of the campus.” Moreover, her economical temperament craves for China Bowl more and more with every visit.

Today, it was Ankush’s turn to be swiped off his feet. His tummy was full up to the brim however; he was still literally dragged to the restaurant by Shilpa. He was like “Awesome”. He was pleased with the services provided to us the moment we stepped in the restaurant. Remember that he has done Hotel management which means that it is really difficult to please him with just average services.
Divya was first bowled over by their Ice tea and then by their crisp and salty and delicious fried wanton. She was a scene to look at. She exclaimed, “Whoooooa… I have never had such amazing fried wanton.”
The average Cost per person: Rs 60 – 120
The best part: ServicesAmbiance and Pocket friendly prices.
Shilpa goes gaga over: Gravy Manchurian
Ankush would forever look forward to a visit for: Baby Corn (Salt and pepper)
Divya Fell in love with: Ice Tea (Completely different from McDonalds’) tastes a little tangy and has a soothing effect in a summer afternoon.
They deliver across Campus for free.
However, I suggest that if you really want to pamper yourself feel free to visit and experience it for yourself.

South Indian Food in New Delhi

Date        : April, 10, 2011
Occasion : Ankush's birthday
Venue      : Coveted Sarvana Bhawan
Feeling     : Exaltation
Wait Time: Half an hour

After so many days of giving up hope, today I was pretty sure that I would eat out at Sarvana bhawana and I made it. Fortunately. Ankush has been staying here in Delhi and has yet never been to the place so, it was a big thing for him. I had been waiting to have good south Indian food for the past 6 months so, it was amazing for me as well.

Well, we started with Sweet Dahi vada. Does it not look delicious? It indeed was. we then ordered Utthapam and a Dosa. These were also good as usual.

Once again Sarvana Bhavan earns my appreciation for serving the kind of south Indian they do. It is wonderful and lingering.

Once you go there, you can;t help going the next time no later. I strogly recommend it to all south Indian Food lovers staying in Delhi.

It was an absolute wonderful Saturday at Haldirams, Netaji....

It was an absolute wonderful Saturday. First it was the delightful weather in morning which added beauty to the weekend. Since morning wanted to go out for change but somehow certain petty household related things kept me busy...But finally at 8 o'clock, I realized that that the day was about to get finished.

I was not all ready to let this day go without doing anything.. Then we ( Papa, Mumma & obviously me) decided to take dinner outside.. But again there was little confusion where to go, after so much brainstorming we landed up at Halidrams in Neta Ji subhash palace...

The moment we entered the place, I just felt wow! The ambiance was so good.. It was fully crowded. People around were enjoying various delicacies and it further grew my hunger.. I was already sure that I was to eat noodles and mixed salad.. Finally we ordered noodles, salad, bhature chhole ( though I m not really fond of bhature chhole, but it was papa's choice ) and in drinks mummy papa preferred taking sweet lassi (buttermilk) and I took pineapple ice cream soda... ooh it was just perfect, finger licking food..

What I found best about this chain that the waiting time for getting the order was really less, usually there is a system at other chains of restaurants that u're allotted some no. and u have to wait for long and by the time your no is announced, u almost get frustrated but here u only had to give coupon at respective counter n get your order in maximum 5 minutes. So this is how I made my day..... ( Now it's time to burn some extra calories after having yummy food )

I would really suggest u to try haldirams at Neta ji with ur frenz or family.....

Aromas of China

Country*:India
State*: Haryana
City*: Gurgaon
Place *: Ambience Mall
Any Landmark: Third Floor
Famous for*: Chinese buffet (Momos)
Food Type *: Chinese
Outlet type*: Retaurant
Avg food cost per person Rs.*: 475
Home Delivery*: No
Timings: 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

I generally go there in the afternoon for the buffet and I assure you that it is amazing. It is worth whatever it costs.

They have got everything from vegetarian to non vegetarian food. The sweet dishes they serve is amazing. I am in love with the ambience there, however, I don't like the music. May be I don't have the taste and nerves for chinese music.

I specifically recommend you to try noodles and momos there. It is a treat for all those souls who have ever craved for authentic chinese and have not really felt good after trying it somewhere.

Honest confession is that I started liking chinese once I had chinese here. So, all those who love chinese and their friends cant stand it, please treat them here and bless me forever.

Go, try and cherish the experience.
